That's very kind of you to say! There are a lot better photographers than me around though.

The best advice I can give you to get better is to take a lot of photos. To really improve try and find people to critique your shots. An objective critique can give you things to work on so that you can improve. It's also good to read a lot and look at plenty of other people's work, you can try and work out how they did their shots and try that in your own.
